Reeling Systems
Secure Data Transmission at the Highest Speeds and Longest DistancesCables are the most established and obvious media to secure the data transport at the highest speeds through the longest distances. In fact they constitute the backbone of all the top-speed data networks, and specifically the Internet.
Reeling Sytems handle, store and protect flexible cables providing both power and data transmission.
The data transmission medium embedded in these cables can be as simple as one pair of copper wires for low-speed industrial bus up to multiple CAT6 elements including shielded and twisted pairs for multi-gigabit per second Ethernet transmission.
When length, speed, EMC or security requires, the reeling cables will provide the rotary connection through the reel, including multiple Fiber Optics (multi-mode or single-mode) and our unique, super-reliable TFO (Transmitter Fiber Optics) with its elegant continuous fiber ribbon wound on itself.
The industry is improving its machines efficiency through automation and remote control. Both require a flawless secure data stream from multiple hi-res cameras, sensors and control systems that is seamlessly supported by Fiber Optics in our Reeling systems, even in the high-EMI environments of ports, and steel or aluminum mills.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Does the reeling system add latency and/or crosstalk to the optical data stream?
Not at all: Our TFO is built around a continuous FO ribbon connecting the reeling cable and the optical networks: no latency, no crosstalk and minimal attenuation, just as for the fixed FO cables in your network.
What is the data transmission speed limit in a reeling system?
Our reeling systems can transmit up to 24 Single-mode FOs, thus their “maximum maximorum” is today about 4,8 terabits per second (about 4000 4K movies per second…).
